Collingwood Town Hall
Simbuilt were engaged as a rescue builder for the $14m heritage listed Collingwood Town Hall refurbishment. The refurbishment project was to assess the current state of the works, analysing what had been installed and to what level of quality, and which works were not meeting quality standard. Once the survey had been created Simbuilt were able to procure the remaining trade packages whilst meeting the objectives and constraints of Council on time and within budget.
Simbuilt worked with a diverse group of consultants in resolving conflicts between contrasting requirements; particularly in building services, heritage and accessibility. Simbuilt also assisted PTID in completing the design to meet budget. In addition to the initial office areas Simbuilt were commissioned to restore and air-seal the Main Hall itself.
